Konstruksi Sosial Nilai Keagamaan melalui Seni Rebana dalam Praktik Pendidikan Nonformal Berbasis Komunitas

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social construction of religious values through the practice of rebana art in community-based nonformal education. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted in Perumnas Griya Asri, Bengkulu City. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that rebana art functions as an effective medium for religious education through participatory and experiential approaches. The process of social construction of religious values occurs through the stages of externalization, objectivation, and internalization, mediated by social interactions within rebana activities. These activities enhance religious understanding, strengthen social values such as ukhuwah (Islamic brotherhood) and cooperation, and shape religious identity, particularly among youth. Additionally, rebana art contributes to the preservation of Islamic culture amid social changes.The novelty of this study lies in integrating the perspective of social construction with traditional art as a medium for nonformal education. The findings offer a contextual and participatory alternative model for religious outreach.
